Noel Gallagher Headed to No1 As He Slams The Pop Industry

The Sound Of Summer

It looks as though former Oasis star Noel Gallagher is on his way back to the top of the charts. Gallagher split from Oasis in 2009 after years of band in-fighting, often with his brother Liam Gallagher. Since the split Noel has formed his own band the “High Flying Birds” and according to NME it seems that Gallagher’s second solo album Chasing Yesterday is headed for the number one spot despite only having been released on Monday.

The Official Chart Company has Gallagher’s album at the top of the midweek chart ahead of Brit Award winners Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran. If Gallagher maintains his place when the official chart is revealed on Sunday it will be interesting to see if the success will put a smile on Gallagher’s face.
